RPF Result 2018: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has released the RPF Result for Sub Inspector post and Constable on its official website. The RPF SI Result and RPF Constable Result has been declared for the RPF Computer Based Test (CBT)Candidates can visit the official website for RPF SI and RPF Constable respectivelyand download their RPF SI and Constable Results.

The RPF Result for SI and Constable posts has been declared in the form of merit list consisting of the names of the candidates who qualified in the CBT. Separate RPF SI merit lists have been created for RPF Sub Inspector Group E and Group F. Likewise a separate merit list has been compiled for RPF Constable. A total of 424 candidates have qualified in the CBT for RPF SI Group E and 645 candidates for RPF SI Group F and 2084 candidates for RPF Constable. These shortlisted candidates are eligible to appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV) rounds of the recruitment process which tentatively scheduled to be conducted by the last week of February 2019.

RPF Result 2018-19 For Sub Inspector (SI) & Constable

The RPF exam 2018 will be conducted in three stages which are as under:

  • Phase 1: Computer Based Test (CBT), in which all candidates who have successfully applied for the exam can appear
  • Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Measurement Test (PET & PMT), in which shortlisted candidates from the CBT can appear, and
  • Phase 3: Document Verification, in which candidates who clear the PET & PMT round can appear.

Finally, candidates will be appointed based on merit, i.e. on the basis of marks secured by them in the CBT provided they have qualified in the PET & PMT and Document Verification rounds.

Step 2Click on “Candidates shortlisted for PMT, PET, and DV” from the right side of the screen.
Step 3Click on the group you applied for (Group E or Group F for SI post and Group E for Constable) to view the list of the shortlisted candidates for PMT, PET, and DV.
Step 4A PDF will appear on the screen consisting of the list of shortlisted candidates.
Step 5Download the PDF file.
Step 6Press “Ctrl + F”, enter your Roll Number (as mentioned on your RPF Admit Card), and press “Enter”. If your Roll Number is there in the list, you have cleared the round and are eligible to appear for the next phase of the RPF recruitment process.
Step 7Take a print out of the PDF for future reference.

RPF Result 2018: RPF Cutoff 2018

As per the RPF notification, Unreserved (UR) candidates must score 35 percent in the Computer Based Test in order to get shortlisted for the PET & PMT round. For Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST), the required percentage is 30 percent. However, based on the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the number of available vacancies, and difficulty level of the paper, Indian Railways may fix an Overall RPF Cut Off marks as well as Sectional RPF Cutoff marks.

RPF Recruitment 2018: Selection Procedure

As mentioned above, selection of Constables and Sub Inspector for RPF and RPSF will be based on merit:

  1. Candidates who clear both overall and section cutoff marks of CBT will be called for PET & PMT round.
  2. Candidates who clear all the events of PET and meet the PMT criteria will be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification.
  3. Candidates who are found fine after DME and whose documents are in order will be appointed on the basis of marks secured by them in the CBT.
  4. In the case of two or more candidates securing the same marks, candidate older in age will be given first preference.
